The term “aiguillette” once referred to the metal-tipped cords used to fasten garments and adorn uniforms. The design retains that shape: long, tapered, and featuring an openwork design along its 8.5 cm length
The brass is stamped and then given a patina, which gives the gold a deeper, darker shade in the recesses—an effect that would be impossible to achieve on a uniformly gilded piece.

Juno was the patron goddess of women among the Romans—the one invoked at crucial moments, and after whom the month of June is named. She was a figure of quiet dignity rather than ostentatious power.

Every piece of Volgara jewellery begins with a brass stamping made in France using traditional techniques dating back to the 19th century. These refined designs reflect a rich cultural heritage and unique craftsmanship.
Inspired by Art Nouveau, nature and ancient symbols, each Volgara collection tells a story. Each motif—whether a leaf, flower, animal, or filigree—is rich in meaning and reinterprets France’s aesthetic heritage.
All of our pieces are handmade and plated with 24K fine gold. We use only semi-precious stones and natural pearls.
